The Goodluckans Diaspora (GD), with members across the globe including North America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, has said Nigerians deserve a better direction and a leadership that will bring people out of hardship and into a future of opportunity, stability and progress.
Addressing the media on Thursday in Abuja, during rally, the group’s global coordinator, Queen Moses Idris, described the organisation as a vehicle for an official movement for national renewal ahead of 2027 general election and to respectfully engage Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and urged him to consider contesting the 2027 presidential Election in Nigeria.
According to her, the initiative is driven by a shared belief in the need for leadership that restores peace, unites people across faiths and guides the nation out of hardship into hope.
He said, “Goodluckans Diaspora is a global network of Nigerians committed to advocating for national development, unity and democratic progress through civic engagement and collective action.
” The delegation is being organized as a constructive and respectful engagement centered on dialogue, national interest and collective progress.
“The Goodluckans Diaspora reaffirm that this delegation will be peaceful, respectful, lawful and well coordinated. Participants are encouraged to uphold the highest standards of conduct and represent the movement with dignity.
“It reflects a vision of a Nigeria where Christians and Muslims stand together in unity, where light overcomes darkness and where national identity rises above division. This vision is symbolically captured in the movement’s message of light and renewal, a reflection of leadership that inspires progress, stability and inclusion for all Nigerians.” Queen Idris said.
She also said, “This is not a protest. This is a call for leadership. Nigerians across the world are ready to support a vision that restores hope, strengthens unity and moves the nation forward. Nigerians will welcome a leadership that restores national confidence, promotes unity across all regions and faiths, strengthens democratic institutions and most importantly supports economic growth and stability.
“That is why we are calling on former President Goodluck Jonathan to reflect on this moment in our nation’s history and consider stepping forward to lead once again by contesting in the 2027 presidential election. We count on his experience, commitment to democratic values and history of leadership as key reasons behind this appeal.”
