Tacha completes world record attempt of 145 makeovers in 24 hours

Tacha Akide, the reality TV star, has completed her attempt to set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the most makeovers by a single artist in 24 hours.

The challenge was the centrepiece of the second day of the inaugural Tacha Beauty Festival, held at the John Randle Centre in Lagos.

While Akide aimed to complete 150 makeovers, she successfully finished 145 transformations within 24 hours. The attempt was kicked off on October 11.

A video from the official Instagram page for the record attempt captured the euphoric moment the clock ran out, with fans erupting in celebration as she surpassed the existing record.

The current record is held by Sierra Leonean Mary Yongai, who completed 111 makeup applications in 24 hours.
