Seyi Tinubu hails Arowolo’s emergence as YOWICAN chairman

Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has congratulated Venerable Ademola Daniel Arowolo on his election as the National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria.

Tinubu described Arowolo’s emergence as well-deserved, citing his years of dedication, leadership capacity and commitment to the growth of Christian youths across the country.

In a congratulatory message shared on social media, Tinubu said Arowolo’s victory reflected the confidence reposed in him by young Christians nationwide.

“Congratulations to Ademola Daniel Arowolo on your well-deserved victory as National Chairman, Youth Wing, Christian Association of Nigeria. This achievement is a testament to your dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to service,” he said.

Tinubu also prayed for divine guidance for the new chairman, expressing optimism that his tenure would foster unity, moral leadership and positive engagement among Christian youths.

Arowolo, a venerable in the church and former Chairman of YOWICAN in the South-West, emerged after a keenly contested election, highlighting the rising influence of youth leadership within faith-based organisations.

His emergence comes at a critical time as YOWICAN continues to mobilise young Christians for spiritual development, community service and national engagement.

Observers say Tinubu’s public endorsement underscores the growing intersection between political figures and faith-based youth movements in Nigeria.

Expectations are high that Arowolo’s leadership will introduce innovative programmes aimed at addressing youth challenges, promoting interfaith harmony and strengthening Christian youth participation in nation-building.

YOWICAN remains the youth arm of CAN, serving as a platform for advocacy and engagement for Christian young people nationwide.
