Nwosu lauds Oti’s feat at FUTO

Former Chief of Staff to the Former Governor of Imo State, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has said that the leadership of Prof. Nnenna Oti at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), brought significant transformation and repositioned the institution for greater growth and excellence.

Nwosu stated this when he hosted the former Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nnenna Oti in Abuja.

He commented her contributions to the growth and development of the university.

According to him, Prof. Oti’s visionary leadership, commitment to excellence, and dedication to duty have left an enduring legacy within the university community, positioning FUTO on a path of greater academic and institutional advancement.

“Her administration recorded significant milestones that have continued to attract commendation from stakeholders within and outside the academic community,” Nwosu said.

The former Chief of staff described her tenure as one marked by innovation, purposeful leadership, and transformational reforms.

Nwosu further stated that Prof. Oti’s accomplishments serve as an inspiration to women in leadership and the academic community, stressing that her stewardship demonstrated the impact of integrity, competence, and service-driven governance in higher education administration.

He said, “Her leadership, vision and dedication have left a lasting impact on the university community. I applaud her for the remarkable transformation witnessed at FUTO under her watch.”

He also expressed confidence that the former Vice Chancellor would continue to contribute meaningfully to national development and educational advancement in future assignments.

On her part, the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the FUTO, Prof. Nnenna Oti expressed appreciation to Ugwumba Nwosu for recognising her modest contributions to FUTO, stating that the successes recorded during her tenure were made possible through teamwork and dedication.

She pledged to continue supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening education and national development.
